I got this tattoo to commemorate completing my first 100 at Yeti 100 in 2021. Running 100 is a big fucking deal so what better way to show off the accomplishment than with a tattoo? But, the Yeti community is a real thing. In 2024 I ran Rio Del Lago 100 in CA and I had just come into an aid station and immediately a volunteer recognized the yeti tattoo (he had one too!) and was quick to ask me what I needed and cheer me on with a “go yeti!”. It’s really cool to see the support of the yeti community across the entire sport of ultra running.
